door sea freight service. From collection to delivery at
your destination address, we take care of everything,
including customs - which means that well before your vessel
arrives, our destination agent contacts you to help deal
with all formalities and your goods are delivered to your
door.
Excess Baggage's door to door sea freight rates are
remarkably competitive. They cover not only customs
clearance and terminal charges but also local delivery fees
to addresses in Australia, New Zealand, USA, Canada, South
Africa, Dubai, Cyprus, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur and
Singapore. West Africa e.g. Nigeria, Ghana Many other door
to door destinations are also available. Simply ask for more
information, plus full details of excluded charges,
including customs and quarantine inspections, cargo dues,
examinations, destination X-ray fees, import
duties and sales taxes.
Door to Port Sea Freight Service
Our low-cost door to port unaccompanied baggage shipping
service is extremely reliable and efficient. You simply
collect your belongings at the destination terminal, clear
them through customs and settle any destination charges that
may be applicable - including any terminal fees, customs
duty, local tax, fees, including quarantine fees where
applicable.
Almost without exception it is the item's sender or owner
who is required to collect.
Naturally, from time to time, foreign customs services or
authorities may impose surcharges, duty, tax, quarantine or
other charges. Excess Baggage, of course, does not have
control over these local organisations.

We specialize in shipping motor vehicles from the UK to both
West Africa and round the world. Selections of different car
shipping options are available - cars can be shipped in
'sole use' or shared containers or on the enclosed car decks
of ocean-going RORO car ferries.
Container shipping encompasses a number of different
options. We offer 20 ft or 40 ft FCL 'sole use' container
services, with only your vehicle's in the container, to
various ports in West Africa. This involves your car being
secured within a container with straps and wheel chocks to
hold it in place. You effectively pay for the sole use of
the container, for your vehicles only. (A number of
options are available - at extra cost - should you have
other goods and wish to ship them at the same time.)
We also have frequent shared container services to Nigeria,
Ghana Togo, and Republic of Benin ma more. Your car is
loaded into the container, also you can ship your freight
without container and a crate is custom-built around it to
protect your vehicle in transit. You pay only for the space
taken up within the container by your timber-framed vehicle.
We then load the rest of the container with other goods
(baggage, personal and household effects, and furniture).
Your vehicle is fully enclosed in transit by a 4 inch (10

Again, a number of options are available - at an extra cost
- should you have other goods and wish to ship them. Ocean-going RORO Car ferry
Selected port destinations are also served by ocean-going
roll-on, roll-off (RORO) car ferry services. Such vessels
are purpose-built car carriers, used by manufacturers to
deliver brand new vehicles around the world. Cars are
protected from the elements in enclosed car decks and are
secured by straps and chocks. Service frequency is usually
once or twice a month, and the transit time is sometimes
longer than for container vessels, but there can be useful
cost savings on some routes over container shipment.
Documentation
In order to ensure your shipment is delivered without
incident Homey and Lewis Forwarding will organise all the
documentation that is required for your specific shipment
such as customs formalities, bills of lading, certificates
of origin and letters of credit. Shipping document to
anywhere in the world e.g. America, Europe, Africa, oceanic
Mideast, and Fareast, and many more.
